Nate's Chicks Poultry Sales Policy

We strive to provide quality, healthy poultry. All available birds have been thoroughly inspected and deemed healthy. We are not a hatchery – we are a small, family-operated farm. Because of this, we do not always have animals available. Please follow our social media or contact us for availability. All sales are first come, first served. Local pickups are available for all birds and eggs (to be paid by the buyer). We operate a closed farm for biosecurity and do not allow visitors under any circumstances. 

Chicks 

• Day-old chick pricing can be foundon the order form located at Pre-Order Chicks https://bit.ly/NatesChicks-PreorderChicks . Prices increase by $3 each week until they are off heat, in which they will fall under the Juvenile category. 

• All chicks are sold as straight run, unless listed as pullets – we do NOT offer returns or refunds for roosters, though we are happy to take them back for free for those who cannot house them. 

• For the safety and health of our chicks, a minimum purchase of 3 chicks for pick up is necessary. 

• Buyers assume all responsibility once their chicks have been picked up. Nate's Chicks does not offer any guarantees on quality or health – baby chicks are fragile, and Nate's Chicks assumes the buyer has a complete understanding of raising young chicks. They should be housed in a properly heated brooder with fresh water and chick feed daily.

• We will accept full payment on presold chicks – but it is the buyer's responsibility to coordinate pick up within 24 hours of pick up date.. We will not hold any chicks without payment, as sales are first come, first served. 

• We do vaccinate for Merek's when our chicks are hatched. Juvenile/Adult Birds 

• Juvenile/Adult birds are priced according to breed, gender, and quality. 

• We do our best to offer sexed juveniles – however, certain breeds can be difficult to sex until maturity. Therefore, gender (or straight run, if unsure) will be stated on each post. 

• We will not hold any juvenile or adult birds without full payment. . Buyers have 72 hours to coordinate pickup. Failure to pick up birds within the allotted time frame will result in a forfeited deposit and the animal being relisted. 

Hatching Eggs 

• We include extras with all dozens when available.

• We regularly evaluate each of our flocks for fertility to ensure we are delivering the best-quality eggs possible. All our pens have at least 90% fertility in our test hatches. That said, many factors can influence hatch rates that are simply out of our control. Furthermore, poor hatch rates do not directly translate to poor fertility. Therefore, we do not guarantee hatch rates. 

• We are often booked out for eggs months in advance. If you would like to be added to our waitlist, please contact us. We require a $25 deposit to be placed on our waitlist, which will be applied to your order. We do our best to provide accurate availability dates, but they are subject to change due to weather, broody hens, and the overall unpredictability of animals. We do not offer refunds once you are on our wait-list. 

• We do not ship eggs. We do not offer refunds for broken eggs or low hatch rates.

 Quality:
We do  not guarantee any of our poultry to be show quality. We breed for egg  and meat qualities, while trying to preserve the breed in the best way  we possibly can. We select our birds very carefully and breed as closely  to the "standard" as possible. Our breeder flocks are large, therefore  it is not likely to receive related poultry. We also purchase some eggs  from other breeder farms, eggs and chicks are mixed, and it is possible  for you to receive chicks from completely different parent stock. We  guarantee you will receive the breed(s) you purchase. Different breeds  are hatched in separate hatching baskets. 

 We  assume no liability of the continuing health of the poultry and/or the  health of the humans and/or other poultry and/or other animals that may  come in contact with poultry produced by our hatchery.
